Activity Outline:
All students will wear a wetsuit and buoyancy aid. The Instructor will assist the group in boarding in shallow water (a short swim may be necessary for smaller students or in certain conditions). The group will be seated in the boat and taken on a short sight seeing trip along the coast in a direction to be decided by the Skipper given the prevailing conditions.
The group will experience the thrill of a high-speed trip (approx 20 mph). They will remain in seated positions at all times and do exactly as instructed by the skipper. Interesting wildlife, local geology and features will all be pointed out to the group. Disembarking will be in an orderly fashion as the Skipper dictates on the day. The Skipper has autonomy and may stop the boat and return to beach if he / she feels that it is safer to do so than to continue. Students may not be aware of the challenging conditions faced and as such should do what they are asked when they are asked to do it. Failure to do so may curtail the trip.
